HEATHER-SOPHIA THOMSON
Author
Heather is a qualified speech and drama teacher and obtained a diploma through Trinity College of London. She has taught in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors and loved engaging with students by exploring creativity through different learning experiences. She returned to university to complete a post graduate diploma in library and information studies which opened the door to work in libraries and museums at a local government level. Heather has a keen interest in genealogy and graduated from University of Tasmania in 2021 with a Diploma in family history. She has two adult sons and pre COVID, enjoyed solo long distance walking in Scotland, completing the West Highland, Rob Roy and John Muir ways; 496 kms in total. Alas, she did not encounter any opportunities to touch standing stones to transport her back to back to 18th century Scotland.
KAYLEY ELLEN SLATER
Illustrator and Graphic Designer
Kayley-Ellen is a full time graphic designer, illustrator and writer with the ability to transcribe others’ own stories and dream making them a tangible reality. She has a passion for storytelling through writing and illustrating characters and alternative worlds with attention to detail. Taking inspiration from lore, folk tales and realism, Kayley works digital media with an array of brushes, textures and traditional mediums such as inks and watercolours, to fuse a world of science and fantasy. With emotive colour theory she is able to tap into people’s mind and spark their imagination.
TRACY LU
Marketing Consultant
Tracy, a marketer with a diverse educational background shaped by her experiences across multiple cultures. Having studied in Singapore, Vietnam, and Australia, she has developed a unique perspective on marketing that is both global in scope and culturally sensitive. With a deep understanding of diverse consumer behaviours and market trends, Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge to every project she works on. Her ability to bridge cultural divides and communicate effectively with audiences from different backgrounds has made her a valuable asset in the industry. With a passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to excellence, Tracy is a true innovator in the field of marketing.
INDIGO JAMES
Composer and Musician
Indigo James is an Aboriginal singer/songwriter who's been playing folk music in the Perth community since 2014 at events such as International Women’s day, Pride Fairday and Reclaim the Night. She has achieved an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance, using instruments such as vocals, guitar, ukulele, bass and harmonica. Indigo centres her music around her passions of environmental issues and mental health.
