A MONTHLY BOOK REVIEW PUBLICATION

A BOOK

Betty’s Big Day Out is a self published picture book that uses a fantasy medieval setting to share with readers the topic of dementia and memory loss.

Few families are untouched by this condition and we are hoping that the book will build a bridge for children and adults to have a conversation about the topic.

The book will be available for purchase from this website on 1st February 2023.

A PROJECT

We have a team of five people who have each used a creative skill to interpret the story using text, illustration, clay modelling, music or song.

We are available to visit schools, libraries and residential care to share the Betty’s Big Day Out Project. We have a range of activities and crafts to share with our audiences.

A COMMUNITY EVENT

Our team would love to connect with a group, school or organisation that would share with us an opportunity to create a Betty’s Big Day Out in the community.

It would be performing stories, singing, art and music to guests with dementia and memory loss.

/ Reporter

"Those with dementia are still people and they still have stories and they still have character and they're all individuals and they're all unique. And they just need to be interacted with on a human level."
